Lateral Admission in the Polytechnics of Assam, Last Date 10th January 2020
Applications are invited in the prescribed format from the permanent residents of Assam, who have passed ITI courses in Post Matric trades from Industrial Training Institute of Assam for Lateral Admission in the Polytechnics of Assam for the session commencing from January 2020. The branch of Engeneering with intake capacity, minimum Education qualification and duration of course in the different Polytechnics are as below.
Education qualification:
1.Civil Engineering: (I) Pass in HSLC Exam or its equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education Assam or its Equivalent Exam or from any other recognise Board with Science and Maths as a compulsory subject in a single sitting. (II) ITI Passed out in Drafment Civil or Surveyor Trade or Construction and Wood Working sector in Single Sitting.
2.Mechanical Engineering: (I) Pass in HSLC Exam or its equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education Assam or its Equivalent Exam or from any other recognise Board with Science and Maths as a compulsory subject in a single sitting. (II) ITI Passed out in Machinist/ Draughtsman Mech./Fitter/Turner/Fabrication Sector/Plastic Processing Sector in single sitting.
3.Electrical Engineering: (I) Pass in HSLC Exam or its equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education Assam or its Equivalent Exam or from any other recognise Board with Science and Maths as a compulsory subject in a single sitting. (II) ITI Passed out in Electrician or Mech. Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Trade in single sitting.
4.Electronics & Telecomm.EN : (I) Pass in HSLC Exam or its equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education Assam or its Equivalent Exam or from any other recognise Board with Science and Maths as a compulsory subject in a single sitting. (II) ITI Passed out in IT Sector/Electronics Mech./ Information Communication Technology system maintenance in single sitting.
5.Computer Engineering : (I) Pass in HSLC Exam or its equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education Assam or its Equivalent Exam or from any other recognise Board with Science and Maths as a compulsory subject in a single sitting. (II) ITl Passed out in Desktop Publishing Operator or Computer Operator and Programming Assistant in single sitting.
6.Instrumentation Engg. : (I) Pass in HSLC Exam or its equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education Assam or its Equivalent Exam or from any other recognise Board with Science and Maths as a compulsory subject in a single sitting. (II) ITI Passed out in Instrument Mech. Trade in single sitting.
7.Chemical Engineering: (I) Pass in HSLC Exam or its equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education Assam or its Equivalent Exam or from any other recognise Board with Science and Maths as a compulsory subject in a single sitting. (II) ITI Passed out in Laboratory Assistant in sngle sitting.
8.Mechanical (Auto) Engg.: (I) Pass in HSLC Exam or its equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education Assam or its Equivalent Exam or from any other recognise Board with Science and Maths as a compulsory subject in a single sitting. (II) ITI Passed out in Mech. Motor Vehicle / Mech. Diesel/ Pump Operator cum Mech. in single sitting.
9.Fashion Technology: (I) Pass in HSLC Exam or its equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education Assam or its Equivalent Exam or from any other recognise Board with Science and Maths as a compulsory subject in a single sitting. (II) ITI Passed out in Dress making Trade in single sitting.
10.Modern Office Management: (I) Pass in HSSLC Examination from the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or its equivalent in a single sitting. (II) ITI Pass out in Stenography(E)/ Secretarial Practice in single sitting.
1.The last date of submission of application form at respective ITI 10th January’, 2020.
2.AGE – The age limit of ITI Passed student is minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years on 01st January 2020. For SC/ST additional Three years as per existing norms of Polytechnic.
3.Selection in the specific branch would be given in order of merit of the ITI Trade Test + HSLC/HSSLC.
4.Fees and Dues: The students have to pay the sum of money at the time of admission in the PoIytechnic as per norms of the Polytechnic.
The candidates those who are selected for admission have to undergo medical examination at the respective health unit of the Polytechnic concerned and obtained Medical Fitness Certificate from the corresponding Medical Officer deputed by the Institute authority on payment of the requisite fees.
