Selection process:
- Online application, with a printed copy or receipt for the rally.
- RFID-based PST/PET at Jorhat or Diphu, with initial document verification.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 marks; minimum 35% for General/EWS and 33% for SC/ST/OBC.
- Trade Skill Test (for Technical and Tradesman posts): skill test with a specific practical component, qualifying only, with no marks awarded.
- Document verification and Detailed Medical Examination, with a Review Medical Examination for those found unfit.
- Merit list and call for training. Final selection depends on merit and vacancies; qualifying every test does not guarantee selection.
How to apply:
- Apply online at assamrifles.gov.in using the “ONLINE APPLICATION” option. No other mode is accepted, and only one application per candidate.
- Fill in all details carefully, with a valid email ID and mobile number. Communication is by email and SMS only, and the mobile number must not be on DND.
- Pay the ₹100 fee online through the link in the form, or at an SBI counter (then upload the challan/receipt copy).
- Print the application form and fee receipt and carry them to the RFID PST/PET. Applications without them may be rejected.
