National Food Security Mission invites applicaton for the post of Consultants and Technical Assistants under National Food Security Mission (Rice) & National Food Security Mission (Pulse) in Bongaigaon district, 2019-20.

Basic qualification & Experience:
1) Bachelor degree in Agriculture with Master degree in Agronomy /Agril Extension) Soil Science Plant Protection / or any other agricultural subject, having at least 10 years of field experience in crop production extension. In case of departmental experienced personals, qualification may be relaxed by the DFSMEC.
2) The person should have ability of team leadership & motivation

Honorarium per month: Rs.45,000.00 + Conveyance allowance Travelling Allowances Rs. 2000,/- per month + Daily Allowance @ Rs 200/- per day for 10 days in a month ( as per Annexue -I (a) of Operational Guideline, 2018-19 to 2019-20) or as per state rules.

Basic qualification & Experience: 1) Bachelor degree in Agriculture with computer Skills In case of non- availability, of agriculture graduates candidates with bachelor degree in science may be considered
2) Person with experience of research and extension will be given preference.
Honorarium per month – Rs.30,000.00 + Conveyance a!lowance/ Travelling allowances @ Rs. 1500/- per month + Daily Allowance Rs. 150/- per day for 10 days in a month (as per Annexue–I a) of Operational Guideline 2018.19 to 2019-20) or as per state rules.

Duties & Responsibilities :
A. District Consultant:
1) Liasoning with KVK and other Agricultural Research Organisations located in the district.
2) Collection & maintenance of basic Agricultural and Allied statistics of the district.
3) Planning and Supervising, conduction of field demonstration and FFS and reporting yield, weather data to the State Mission Drector/State Consultant.
4) Development of Technical / Extension material for farmers in consultation with District Agricultural Officer and the State Consultant
5) Assessing input requirement of the district for NFSM programme
6) Training of District extension staff in improved crop production practices with emphasis on mandated crops,
7) Analysis and documentation of the contribution of various interventions under cluster demonstrations and success stories.
8) To implement the DBT for all NFSM Crops in the district.
B. Technical Assistant :
1) Conduction of field demonstration with the help of Panchayat level field extension functionaries.
2) Assisting consultant in performance of duties assigned to them at State / District level.
3) Monitoring; of crop condition , major incidence of insect/pest, nutrient deficiency and reporting to the District consultant.
4) To implement the DBT for all NFSM Crops at district level.
C Conditions :
1) The appointment would be on contractual basis for three month period Extension of job tenure of the incumbent is subject to satisfactory performance
2) Applicant with working experience in NFSM programme would get preference
3) Other conditions wilt be same as per NFSM guidelines
4) Application must be accompanied with one passport size photograph and attested copies of relevant certificates / document in proof of their educational qualifications right from HSLC onwards
